Therapy

background
  • Therapy

Therapy is a journey, not a destination. Therapy is an ongoing process in which you work with your therapist to explore your mental health, what you experience and identifying what you would like to be different for you in improving your quality of life. You know yourself and what you experience, including what you would like to be different for you with your mental, social, emotional and mind/body connection for well-being and emotional health. We are here to help you find your way and what works for you in therapy.

The quote, “There is no one alive who is you-er than you!” (Ted Geisel, Dr. Suess) is inherently true as you are the expert of your experiences and what you navigate with your mental health. You are the only you in the world. We believe that you are your best advocate. At NVelUp Telehealth, therapy helps you unlock and discover your experiences, your thoughts, your emotions, and areas you have determined you would like to be different; different could mean finding coping skills and tools that help you feel better, exploring and healing from trauma and impactful experiences that you carry with you and ongoing support at a frequency that you determine is helpful for you.

At NVelUp Telehealth, we are honored, as your therapist, to be able to sit with you in your dedicated time and space in taking a walk with you on your journey to improving your quality of life. The feeling of having support in therapy is a comfort. The work that happens in therapy may not always be comfortable because trauma, grief, emotional pain, anxiety, PTSD and depression are uncomfortable; but knowing that you have support in navigating the challenges and discomfort you experience can be very comforting and freeing. Emotional freedom is about having agency in your emotional life and having the power to choose how you want to respond, react and navigate situations, environments or people in life.
